Tennis & Pickleball Attendant
Reports to the Tennis Director & Pickleball Director
Fitness Attendant Reports to the Fitness Director
General Purpose: Welcome members and their guests upon their arrival. Maintain the highest standards of customer service, cleanliness & organization.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
Provide exemplary customer service!
Help to create a positive, upbeat, and welcoming ambiance.
Respectful, positive, friendly attitude is a must!
Always demonstrate professionalism – especially in punctuality, responsibility, personal appearance, and proper communication.
Communicate clearly and effectively with the Tennis Director & Pickleball Director regarding needs at their courts.
Assist members with equipment use in the fitness center and at the courts.
Assist Pros and members with picking up tennis balls and pickleballs.
Prepare & replenish towels, refreshments, and supplies throughout the day according to procedures.
Clean and organize according to daily maintenance procedures, including wiping down & sanitation of equipment and furniture.
Keep courts clean – blow leaves & remove water from wet courts as needed.
Monitor activity on the reservations app and respond to messages promptly.
Provide a safe environment in the fitness center and on the tennis & pickleball courts; report any safety concerns immediately; be prepared to handle emergency situations as trained in a composed manner.
Assist in the implementation of programs and events.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tournaments, events, and activities.
Monitor & adjust music throughout the day.
Remove dirty towel bags at the end of the day.
Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
Maintain flexibility to take on new and different tasks as requested by the Department Director.
Education/Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge of tennis and pickleball is a plus (but not required).
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.
Applicant must exhibit a professional appearance and adhere to Vaquero personnel standards.
Applicant must possess a passion for providing high-quality service and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
The ability to learn the club's app features.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
Certificates/Licenses: CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
Physical Expectations:
Racquets is an outdoor position; must be adaptable to weather conditions.
This position requires lifting and moving a variety of heavy equipment.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
Schedules Available:
Racquets: Monday & Wednesday 7:00am - 12:00pm. With the ability to pick up open shifts throughout the week.
*Note: the tennis shift hours vary depending on the weather. As the weather cools off, the start time is later in the morning and earlier in the afternoon because members play during the most comfortable times of day.
