Overview River Oaks Golf Club is a private club located in Grand Island, NY. It was founded in 1972. River Oaks was designed by world-renowned Scottish architect Desmond Muirhead, who has designed more than 30 courses around the world. Murihead's design principles include a picturesque course layout featuring fairways lined with towering oak trees, numerous water hazards and many strategically-place bunkers. River Oaks has earned its reputation throughout Western New York as a championship-caliber golf course that provides a variety of challenges for all golfers regardless of their playing ability. The Professional Staff is dedicated to making every experience the very best, everyday. River Oaks provides a great northeast golf experience that rivals the most elite clubs and courses. Experience Required • PGA Associate preferred (maintain PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification; if not an Associate, actively begin/pursue PGA membership in a timely manner through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGA PGM) program) • Private club experience preferred, but not mandatory • Working in a team environment Essential Responsibilities 40 Hour per week with possible Overtime (five to six days per week depending on club schedule) April-October (starting & ending dates flexible) Afternoons, Evenings, and Weekends required Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Golf Shop-POS • Tournament Operations- Golf Genius Tournament Software Experience a plus • League Management • Junior Golf, PGA Junior League Experience a plus • Assist professional staff, merchandiser and outside operations daily Benefits Playing and Practice Privileges PUD pricing on apparel & equipment Staff Apparel
