Superintendent-GOLF

Sun Willows Golf Course is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent to provide leadership and operational oversight for the Golf Course Maintenance department, ensuring the golf course and surrounding grounds are maintained to the highest standards of quality, playability, appearance and safety.

This position is responsible for the overall maintenance of the golf course, including turfgrass, landscaping, trees, irrigation systems, water features, and related grounds. The Superintendent also oversees the servicing and repair of turfgrass maintenance and construction equipment, the irrigation system, and the maintenance facility.

The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for developing and managing the department’s annual operating and capital budgets, procurement, recordkeeping, maintenance plans, and regulatory compliance. The Superintendent works closely with the General Manager and leadership team to support the successful operation, financial performance, environmental stewardship, and long-term growth of the company.

Qualifications:

1–3 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent, with demonstrated knowledge of golf course operations and turfgrass management.· Two- or four-year degree in turfgrass management, agronomy, horticulture, plant science, soil science, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.Strong agronomic, turfgrass, and water management skills, with knowledge of irrigation, equipment, and golf course maintenance practices.Proven leadership experience, including hiring, training, supervising, and developing employees.Experience managing departmental budgets, purchasing, and capital improvement projects.Strong relationship-building and communication skills with employees, senior management, the General Manager, members, vendors, and the community.· Valid QAC license or ability to obtain.Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and provide valid documentation verifying their legal right to work in the United States.

Pay: $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
