The Fry Cook provides high-quality food and a consistent, high-standard dining experience to our members and guests. You will own the fry and grill station, executing fried and grilled menu items to WindRiver standards while maintaining clean, safe, and efficient kitchen operations, following all food safety and sanitation regulations, managing prep and inventory levels for your station, communicating effectively with the team, and upholding professionalism to ensure a high-quality guest experience.
Fry Cook Responsibilities
Hours: 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Set up and run the fry/grill station, cooking menu items to WindRiver recipe standardsMonitor fryer/grill temps and oil quality for consistent, safe resultsPortion and plate according to guide; maintain food quality through serviceHandle allergen and dietary requests accuratelyKeep station, equipment, and storage areas clean and sanitized to health code standardsManage prep levels, inventory, and stock rotationComplete opening/closing duties and daily/weekly routinesFollow safety protocols around hot oil, open flame, and kitchen equipmentCommunicate with kitchen team on timing and special ordersMaintain ServSafe compliance and attend required trainingsFilter and change fryer oil on schedule, reporting degradationCross-train and support other stations as directedMaintain professional appearance, hygiene, and uniform standardsReport equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or injuries immediatelyPerform additional duties as assigned to support the guest experience
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of food service experience, with fry or grill station experience (preferred).Culinary certification (preferred).ServSafe Certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment (required).High school diploma (preferred).Must be 18 years or older (required).Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong understanding of food prep, safety, and kitchen operations.Working knowledge of fry and grill technique, oil management, and plate composition.Ability to manage multiple orders and tickets at once without sacrificing quality.Ability to follow procedures, safety rules, and health regulations.Excellent communication; team-oriented and adaptable.Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing 45lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday, working near open flame, hot oil, and hot surfaces.
