About the position La Cantera Golf Club is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional! Qualified\ncandidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on\nproviding superior service. The Assistant Golf Professional is a key member of\nthe golf operations team at the property and assists the 1st Assistant Golf\nProfessional and/or Head Golf Professional in managing all golf and golf-related\nactivities at the facility. Responsibilities Assist in managing facility and staffProcess customer reservations for guests of the golf courseAssist in coordinating individual, group, and tournament play as directed by\n the 1st Assistant Golf Professional and/or Head Golf ProfessionalAssume 1st Assistant Golf Professional's duties in their absenceProduce daily reports related to rounds, sales, etc. for managementWork closely with Marshall and Starter to monitor all aspects of play\n including starting, monitoring pace of play, safety on the course and golf\n course markingsProvide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in processPerform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or managerRequirements 1–2 years of golf industry experience preferredHigh school or college degree (PGM) preferredPGA Member, Apprentice, or desire to be in the PGA programMust have strong customer/guest orientationMust have strong communication skillsHighly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people\n easily and quicklyMust have basic computer knowledgeMust be dependable
