Position Summary The Golf Professional is an integral part of the Whitney Oaks Golf Club team, helping to deliver a first-class experience both on and off the golf course. This role blends daily golf operations, instruction, and hospitality—requiring a professional who is equally comfortable managing the golf shop, engaging with members, and growing the game through player development. Key Responsibilities Deliver a high level of hospitality and service that reflects the Whitney Oaks standard Oversee daily golf shop operations including check-in, tee sheet management, and retail sales Assist in the execution of tournaments, outings, and club events with attention to detail and organization Provide individual instruction, clinics, and player development programs Support merchandising initiatives including inventory management and visual presentation Maintain accurate reporting of play, sales, and daily operational activity Uphold pace of play, course etiquette, and club standards Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure a seamless and enjoyable guest experience Serve as a visible and positive ambassador of the Club at all times Qualifications PGA Member or Associate preferred though not required Prior experience in golf operations or a similar hospitality-driven environment Strong understanding of the game of golf, rules, and instruction fundamentals Excellent communication skills with a naturally engaging and service-oriented approach Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience with POS systems and tee sheet platforms (GolfNow experience a plus) Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and early mornings Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage: $17.50 – $21.00 per hour (based on experience) Instruction revenue: 85% commission on independently generated lessons Access to golf and practice facilities Employee discounts on merchandise, food, and beverage Opportunity to grow within a stable, growing, and professionally operated facility Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering memorable golf experiences while advancing your career in a lively and supportive environment!
