Summary
Helps customer select merchandise, make tee-times, answer phones, accepts payment, registers players utilizing computer program, and maintains appearance of inventory.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Include the following and other duties as assigned.
Provides a welcoming and responsive environment to members and their guests by maintaining a friendly, positive, helpful, and motivated attitude at all times. Reserves tee times, books lessons, and registers members and guests for club golf events. Conducts Golf Shop retail operations: sells, displays, and promotes inventory. Possesses a thorough understanding of the Point of Sale System and helps to maintain it. Performs daily opening and closing procedures. Responsible for cleanliness and appearance of the Golf Shop and stock room areas, equipment, and fixtures. Supports and adheres to Telluride Ski and Golf club initiatives, policies, and procedures.
Receives merchandise.

Education And/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One (1) to three (3) months related experience preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Identify appropriate decisions in a given situation for which no specific rule or procedure has been established. Apply reasoning skills when confronted with circumstances requiring a discretionary decision. Establish priorities and construct further plans after an initial assessment.
Computer Skills
Point of Sale System accounting software (such as EZ Links). Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
Other Qualifications
Must have valid driver license Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quite to moderate.

The pay rate for this position is $23.00/hr + commission on Golf Shop merchandise sales and an end of season performance-based bonus.
