This role is for a Food Runner, a key position responsible for ensuring that food orders are promptly and accurately delivered from the kitchen to the correct tables. This position acts as the essential liaison between the kitchen staff and the serving team, ensuring that plated hot food leaves the kitchen efficiently and reaches the guests in a timely manner. The Food Runner’s duties involve careful coordination, attention to detail, and maintaining clean and safe work areas. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude towards learning, and the physical endurance required for fast-paced service environments.
In this role, you will carry food trays to the appropriate tables, carefully matching all food items to their correct orders based on ticket details. You will assist servers in providing seamless service, ensuring the consistency and presentation of plates before they reach the guests. Maintaining the cleanliness of service stations and kitchen areas is also an important responsibility, helping to create a safe and efficient work environment. This position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, in occasional hot, humid, and noisy conditions.
The Food Runner role demands a motivated individual who can thrive in environments that involve repetitive motions and constant physical activity, including moving dishes and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with members, guests, colleagues, and management to ensure accurate order delivery and excellent overall service. Having a Food Handler's Certification is required, demonstrating a commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
