Job Overview
As a Golf Starter, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all players on the golf course. Your responsibilities include managing the flow of play, assisting members and guests, and uphold club rules with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Assist members and guests in finding suitable games, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable golfing experience.Provide guidance on golf etiquette when appropriate to enhance players’ experience.Address rule violations politely and respectfully to maintain a positive atmosphere.Help members and guests with locating lost balls, offering rides, and attending to their needs on the course.Manage the flow of play by ensuring adherence to tee times and club regulations to minimize delays, especially during peak times.Keep a well-stocked supply of scorecards, pencils, tees, and other essentials ready for players.Ensure your timely presence on the course, coordinating with staff to report any incidents or issues.Enforce club rules diligently to guarantee a fair and consistent experience for all players.Perform course maintenance tasks such as repairing ball marks, filling divots, and maintaining cleanliness on the course.Collaborate with the golf operations team including Outside Services and Cart Attendants for seamless service delivery.Keep members and guests informed about club offerings, events, and Golf Shop specials.Additional Duties
Assist other team members as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.Adhere to all company and club policies while maintaining a high level of professionalism.Follow safety guidelines and encourage good practices among team members.Pursue personal and professional development, maintaining necessary certifications related to your role.Proactively address challenges and collaborate with teams to support club operations.Participate in daily briefings to stay informed and contribute to team success.About You
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.Prior experience in a similar role or in-depth knowledge of golf.Strong communication skills to effectively interact with members, guests, and staff.Excellent understanding of golf rules, etiquette, and best practices.Positive attitude and commitment to outstanding service.High attention to detail and dependable work ethic.Physical Requirements
Work primarily outdoors, with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.Engage in physical activities such as lifting, walking, standing, and climbing.Tools/Equipment
Golf clubs and bags (40 - 50 lbs).Merchandise (5 - 30 lbs).Work Schedule
