About the Role
Job Overview The Shop Staff / Court Assistant plays an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and high-quality member experience at the Lone Palm Pickleball Complex. This position assists with the daily operations of the pro shop, organized play, court maintenance, member service, and event support while helping maintain the standards and atmosphere expected at a premier private club facility.
Duties
Member Service & Organized Play
Assist with running organized play, leagues, clinics, and daily programming.
Pro Shop Operations
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
Process member purchases and daily transactions.
Assist with merchandising and restocking inventory at the direction of the Pro Shop Manager/Assistant.
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the pro shop.
Help ensure merchandise displays remain neat, stocked, and visually appealing.
Court Maintenance & Facility Operations
Blow off courts and surrounding areas regularly.
Pick up trash, leftover balls, and other debris around the facility.
Empty garbage cans and assist with facility cleanup during busy periods and events.
Help maintain a clean, professional, and safe environment throughout the pickleball complex.
Assist the Assistant Pickleball Pro with court setup and maintenance needs.
Events & Tournament Support
Assist with the setup and breakdown of tournaments, social events, leagues, and parties.
Help prepare and organize the bar/patio area for events and member functions.
Support event operations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable member experience.
Welcome members and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
Help members select merchandise including paddles/rackets, apparel, accessories, and other pro shop items.
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a positive club atmosphere.
Supervise courts and common areas to help ensure members are following club policies, etiquette, and facility standards.
Skills
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced private club environment.
Team-oriented attitude with willingness to assist where needed.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events as required.
Basic knowledge of pickleball is preferred but not required.
Ability to lift equipment, move merchandise, and perform light outdoor maintenance duties.
