Job Summary:
As the Golf Course Manager, you will assist the Director of Golf Course Maintenance in overseeing day-to-day operations. Your role will involve developing and managing maintenance programs for turf grasses and plant materials, ensuring asset management, and playing a key role in budgeting and financial management. You will also engage in initiatives aimed at member retention, manage irrigation systems, apply pesticides, and ensure compliance with all regulations within our single 18-hole course environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide agronomic guidance to promote healthy growth of grasses, trees, and other plant materials on the golf course.Supervise chemical applications while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.Oversee the safe use and maintenance of golf course equipment, planning for necessary replacements.Maintain the golf course to the highest standards following best practices and guidelines.Manage operational expenses and adhere to the approved budget.Collaborate with the Head Golf Professional to optimize play while scheduling maintenance around events and member activities.Engage with members to ensure their expectations are met and exceeded.Implement training programs for staff on safety, compliance, and operational procedures.Lead meetings focused on club operations, maintenance schedules, and environmental stewardship.About You:
Required Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Turf Management or related field.Minimum of 3 years in Golf Course Maintenance.At least 1 year experience in budget preparation and management.Technical knowledge of golf course operations and resources.Current State Pesticide Applicators License (or ability to obtain within 90 days).Valid driver's license.Preferred Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of general business administration and golf course operations.Direct supervisory experience with the ability to maintain confidentiality.What We Offer:
