Golf Club in Orange Park, Florida is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
The golf course superintendent plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and playability of the golf course. They work closely with the golf course superintendent to ensure that all aspects of the course are kept in pristine condition, providing an exceptional experience for golfers.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, horticulture, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in golf course maintenance.
• Experience in staff management and training.
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass management and horticultural practices.
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of maintenance equipment.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• This position works both outside and inside as needed.
• Frequently uses hands, talks and hears. Regularly stands and sits. Occasionally walks, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls.
• Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, near fumes or airborne particles, and near toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is moderate.
• This position is subject to a background check.
Compensation
$100,000.00 per year.
