About the Role
Forsgate Country Club is seeking a motivated, energetic, and service-oriented full time Assistant Golf Professional to join our Golf Operations team. This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional golf experiences for our members and guests while supporting all aspects of the golf operation. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to providing outstanding member service.
Position Summary
The Assistant Golf Professional assists in the management and execution of daily golf operations, tournament programming, instructional programs, merchandising, and member engagement initiatives. This position requires a professional who is passionate about the game of golf and dedicated to growing participation through instruction, events, and member interaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Organize and conduct club tournaments and golf events utilizing Golf Genius software.
Design and conduct individual and group golf clinics for members and guests.
Develop, organize, and lead junior golf clinics and training programs.
Interpret and enforce the Rules of Golf and all Club golf policies and regulations.
Assist members and guests with tournament registration, tee times, and golf-related inquiries.
Order merchandise for the Golf Shop and assist with inventory management.
Order supplies associated with golf operations, tournaments, and instructional programs.
Collect charges and fees for all golf-related activities in accordance with Club policies and procedures.
Assist with merchandising displays, inventory control, and retail sales initiatives.
Support daily golf shop operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Assist with pace-of-play management and on-course member relations.
Promote Club events, tournaments, instructional programs, and junior golf activities.
Maintain a professional presence and provide exceptional customer service to members and guests.
Work collaboratively with the Director of Golf and other Club departments to ensure a high-quality member experience.
Perform other golf operations duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be enrolled in the PGA of America Professional Golf Management Program – Level 2.
Previous experience in a golf operations environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of the Rules of Golf and tournament administration.
Experience with Golf Genius tournament software preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and special events.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and golf point-of-sale systems preferred.
Valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Regarded as an architectural gem, the traditional design of the Banks Course features holes inspired by legendary Scottish courses, along with Banks’ signature steep and dramatic greenside bunkers.
The scenic Palmer Course, which includes holes designed by Arnold Palmer and Hal Purdy, features water hazards on 10 of its holes and provides an enjoyable and challenging experience for players of all skill levels.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
