Description
Position Summary
The Horticulturist is responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of all landscaped and ornamental areas throughout the Club. This role plays a key part in enhancing the overall aesthetics and member experience by ensuring that flower beds, planters, gardens, and clubhouse grounds are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
Design, plant, and maintain seasonal flower beds, container displays, and ornamental landscapes across the propertyDevelop and execute annual and seasonal planting plans aligned with the Club’s aesthetic visionMaintain shrubs, trees, and non-turf landscaped areas, including pruning, fertilization, and pest controlMonitor plant health and proactively address disease, pests, and environmental stressCollaborate with the Grounds Superintendent on overall property presentation and long-term landscape planningOversee irrigation needs for landscaped areas and ensure efficient water usageMaintain inventory of plants, materials, and supplies; assist with ordering and budgetingEnsure all work is performed safely and in accordance with Club policies and industry standardsQualifications
Degree or certification in Horticulture, Landscape Management, or related field preferredMinimum of 2–5 years of experience in horticulture, landscaping, or grounds maintenance (country club or high-end property experience preferred)Strong knowledge of plant materials, seasonal rotations, and regional growing conditionsFamiliarity with pest and disease management practicesAbility to operate landscaping equipment and tools safelyStrong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing environmentsSkills & Competencies

Base Rate Range: $23 - $28 an hour This is a seasonal position running through October 31; however, we are seeking an individual interested in returning each season and growing with us in a long-term, ongoing role. Flexible Schedule Available
