Mechanic at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course

Position Overview Morton Golf is looking for a qualified Mechanic to oversee our comprehensive maintenance program for Golf Course Equipment. The Mechanic be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our entire fleet, including gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Inspects, troubleshoots and repairs all golf course equipment (gasoline, diesel, electric). · Prioritizes equipment repairs and manages preventive maintenance programs. · Maintains parts inventory, purchases supplies, and tracks equipment costs. · Oversees daily equipment inspections and ensures proper disposal of fluids. · Assists in course maintenance and regulates equipment use (as needed). Qualifications · Must have 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic for any maintenance equipment. · High School Diploma or previous qualified experience as a mechanic required. · Must have a working knowledge of the operation of gasoline, diesel and electric powered equipment, the proper methods of servicing golf course equipment and the repair and adjustment of power mowing equipment. · Must have a working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession. · Flexibility to work outdoors in various weather conditions. · Potential shift times are M – F, 5 am – 1:30 pm.
