Job Summary
A private club with a golf course and Event facilities has an opening for a Chef / Kitchen Manager . Duties include all food preparation and presentation, cost control (food and Labor), execution of quality service and food.
Responsibilities and Duties
Maintain good quality products and presentations according to company standardsAssures food production consistently exceeds member and guest expectationsSupervises all food preparations for the Restaurant and EventsMaintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards; conducts food cost control inventoriesMaintains high sanitation standards for food handling and equipment maintenancePrepare weekly schedule to business needs and covers shifts when needed to keep Labor Costs in lineCoordinates with the Event Coordinator for events and golf outingsAdheres to the state and local health and safety regulationsPlans menus and utilization of food surpluses and leftovers, taking into account probable number of guests and popularity of various dishesSupervises cooking and other kitchen personnel and coordinates their assignments to ensure economical and timely food productionHours will range from upwards of 50 during peak season (summer) and average 30 during the winter months depending on business.Qualifications and Skills
Culinary Degree preferred
At least 3+ years experience in similar capacity
Serve-Safe Certification is required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
