About the Role
Our client, a premier luxury resort, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Golf Professional to oversee all golf operations at their prestigious facility in Miami, Florida, US . This role is perfect for a passionate golf expert with exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to providing an unparalleled guest experience. You will be responsible for managing the golf shop, coordinating tournaments, providing high-quality instruction, and maintaining the overall standards of the golf course.
Responsibilities: Manage daily golf operations, including tee time reservations, course play, and staff supervision. Oversee the golf shop operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales. Develop and implement a comprehensive golf instruction program, offering private lessons, clinics, and playing lessons. Organize and execute a variety of golf tournaments, leagues, and special events for members and guests. Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to all golfers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent to maintain the highest standards of course conditions. Develop and manage the golf operations budget, striving for profitability. Recruit, train, and motivate golf staff, fostering a positive and professional team environment. Promote the club's golf programs and services to enhance member engagement and attract new clientele. Stay current with golf industry trends, equipment, and instructional techniques. Maintain professional relationships with PGA/LPGA associations and other industry contacts. Qualifications: PGA or LPGA Class A certification required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in golf operations management, preferably in a high-end club or resort setting. Proven track record in golf instruction and player development. Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Proficiency in golf management software (e.g., Jonas, ForeTees) and POS systems. Experience in tournament organization and execution. Knowledge of golf course maintenance standards and best practices. A passion for the game of golf and a commitment to its promotion and growth. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
