Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink.
Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to understand their preferences and recommend beverages accordingly.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods efficiently.
Develop and refine beverage recipes to introduce new cocktails or enhance existing offerings, staying current with industry trends.
Manage bar inventory by tracking stock levels, placing orders when necessary, and minimizing waste through proper storage practices.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption to promote a safe environment.
Requirements
Proven experience as a bartender with strong cocktail mixing skills (mixology) and extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, craft beer, and beverage recipes.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively while managing multiple orders efficiently.
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods without compromising quality or safety.
Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in a bar setting.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills; retail math experience is advantageous.
Experience in beverage recipe development and catering is desirable but not mandatory.
Hospitality industry experience with a focus on food industry standards is highly valued.
