Job Summary: The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for members and guests at Troon Country Club’s dining facilities. This role is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere while managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries with professionalism and efficiency. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. This is a seasonal position with an expected duration of six months or less. Compensation:  $16.00 per hour BOE Key Responsibilities: - Greet members and guests promptly and courteously upon arrival. - Ensure all tables are set up correctly before members’ arrival. - Manage reservations and waitlists using the club’s reservation system. - Escort members to their tables and present menus. - Answer phone calls, respond to dining-related inquiries, and relay messages to appropriate staff. - Take To-Go orders - Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen, and management to ensure a smooth dining experience. - Monitor dining room activity and help maintain cleanliness and order. - Maintain knowledge of all menu items, events, and club policies. - Assist with special events, or other front-of-house duties as needed. Qualifications: -  Prior experience in a host/hostess or customer service role is preferred but not required. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. - Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. - Friendly, professional demeanor with a commitment to high-quality service. - Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.
