Server, Waiters and Waitresses

The restaurant server must be friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. This job calls for a professional that likes to work in a great environment with the elite of Rockville, Maryland. The server is responsible for serving prepared foods to restaurants participants, ensure a successful execution of restaurant meals and service that all participants are satisfied with. Also, must have a strong servicing experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Take food and beverage orders and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing the content of the orders with co-workers. Complete and comprehensive knowledge of the menu is mandatory, including daily features and specials that may not be available directly on the menu. Responsible for providing food and beverage STAR Service to Members/Guests ensuring satisfaction, member retention, and coordinating with the other Club departments. Responsible for possessing clear knowledge of all various liquors, beer, and wines available by the Club. Ensure proper set-up and maintenance of the service station, tables, and common areas throughout the dining room. Ensure that all silverware, glasses, base plates, and china are polished and set according to club standards. Fold napkins; polish brass and silver items in spare time. Must be prepared to seat guests in the absence of the manager. Professional in both appearance and manner at all times. Work well as a team member with the entire club staff. Be aware of all state laws pertaining to the sale and service of liquor and alcoholic beverages. Efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner. Must complete the side work sheets at the start and end of each shift, and always check out with a manager. Proper pull sheets, or requisition sheets must be filled out and delivered to a manager at the start and end of each shift if any items are needed for service. Additional duties and responsibilities will be added from time to time. REQUIREMENTS A friendly and service oriented professional demeanor and style. Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills. High tolerance for kitchen temperatures. Previous food and beverage experience preferred. Background in customer service. Ability to foresee customer needs. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 1-2 year wait servicing experience preferred. The ability to read, write, and execute basic math skills. Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages. Preferred T.I.P.S. Certified PHYSICAL DEMANDS Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Push, pull or lift up to 25 pounds.
