About the Role

## About the Role We - Ko - Pa Golf is seeking a Tournament Coordinator to join our Golf Guest Services team, reporting directly to the Head Golf Professional. This full-time position (40 hours per week) is central to delivering exceptional experiences for our group outings and tournaments, all while embodying the We - Ko - Pa Way Service Standards: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank You and Goodbye. ### What You'll Do You'll be the primary point of contact for coordinating all aspects of group events and tournaments. This includes maintaining clear communication across departments, confirming bookings, issuing accurate contracts, collecting signed agreements and deposits, and advising clients on our cancellation policy and billing procedures. You'll implement an organized filing system for group contracts that's accessible to management and keep the group contact informed on player counts, special requests, rental clubs, format, scoring, and scoreboard setup. You'll also update tee time space for each contracted group. On event day, you'll inform all staff of scheduled activities, then direct and supervise the execution of the entire event. Afterward, you'll complete a recap summarizing the event and address any issues. You'll use Event - Man tournament software to its fullest—creating creative and visually appealing scoreboards, scorecards, welcome letters, cart signs, and poster boards. You'll also develop and foster marketing partner relationships by maintaining Net Rate Agreements and handling both oral and written communications. Additional duties include enforcing golf course rules, assisting with Golf Shop inventories, and helping with administrative reports. ### Who We're Looking For A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s degree or relevant certification is preferred. You must be currently enrolled in the PGA Program and have an ability to work well with the public, other staff members, and various departments. No prior supervisory experience is needed—supervisory responsibilities will involve assisting with oversight of the outside golf staff (approximately 25 people), but that's not the primary focus. ### Work Conditions & Physical Requirements This role involves significant physical activity. You'll be standing and walking two-thirds or more of the time, with sitting up to one-third. You'll need to talk and hear frequently, use hands for tasks about one-third to two-thirds of the time, and climb or balance often. Stooping, kneeling, or crouching occurs up to one-third of the time, and reaching with hands is required two-thirds or more. Lifting is part of the job: up to 10 lbs and up to 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally. You'll work near moving parts and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles up to one-third of the time, with outdoor weather conditions present two-thirds or more of the time. ### Additional Information Salary is dependent on experience (DOE). Per our Native American Preference policy, qualified Tribal Members of the Fort Mc. Dowell Yavapai Nation receive preference, and preference is also given to qualified Native American candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act (Title 25, U.S. Code, Sections 472 and 473). If you're passionate about golf and event coordination, and you thrive in a dynamic outdoor environment, we encourage you to apply and become part of the We - Ko - Pa team. --- _This job was found on [bandana.com](https://www.bandana.com/?utm_source=jd_attribution&utm_medium=repost)_
