Position Overview
The Grounds Maintenance Laborer is responsible for supporting the daily maintenance and upkeep of the golf course and surrounding property. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily golf course maintenance tasks including mowing greens, tees, fairways, and rough
Assist with course setup, including changing cups, setting tee markers, and maintaining course presentation
Operate and maintain small equipment such as string trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles
Rake bunkers and maintain sand conditions
Assist with divot repair and general turf maintenance
Perform landscape maintenance including trimming, edging, and general cleanup
Assist with irrigation system operation and basic repairs as directed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance facility and equipment
Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials
Support tournament and special event course setup
Uphold Golf standards of course conditions, professionalism, and teamwork
Qualifications
Previous landscaping or golf course maintenance experience preferred but not required
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs
Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors
Team-oriented attitude with attention to detail
Availability for early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
