The purpose of this position is to assist the Golf Course Manager in marketing the golf course and shop. Assist with the preparation, advertisement, and staffing of lessons and clinics to bring new golfers and maintain current play of the facility. Maintain high standard of customer service at the golf course; train and promote the same with customer service staff as assigned.
This job works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
Examples of Duties
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
• Ensures a high standard of customer service.
• Guides and directs part-time personnel as needed for daily operations.
• Assists with maintaining annual inventory and keeping the golf shop properly stocked.
• Assists with ordering golf merchandise and supplies.
• Performs the duties of the Golf Shop Operator when required.
• Opens and closes the golf course clubhouse as needed.
• Performs related work as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Graduation or GED equivalent.
• Six months of POS, cash handling or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
