Full-time Dining Room Server
Compensation: Starting at $18 PER HOUR
Reports to: Dining Room Manager
Established in 1920, Brook Hollow Golf Club enjoys a strong reputation as one of Dallas’ most historic and exclusive private clubs. World-class facilities including a fully renovated golf course that was completed in 2020, a sports complex for tennis, pickleball, wellness and swimming, and a famed ballroom in which are presented some of Dallas’ most memorable and fashionable social events. During the past twenty years, Brook Hollow has renovated or replaced substantially all of its facilities.
Summary:
Brook Hollow is seeking a person with Private Club or Country Club experience. This person will provide food and beverage service to Club members and guests. They will have a visible presence around members, guest, and personnel of the Club.
Responsibilities:
Provides immediate attention to all Members/Guests upon seating
Develop a first name rapport with Members and Guest
Working knowledge of all current food and beverage menu items
Takes members’/guests’ orders
Promptly deliver orders to kitchen; conveys special cooking instructions
Checks back to ensure member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary
Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks
Verifies accuracy of order and presents the bill for signature
Removes soiled dishes, keeps tables and bus station clean and tidy
Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
Turns in all Food and Beverage checks to supervisor on duty and assures accountability of those checks
Performs additional duties as directed by a manager or supervisor
Job Requirements:
Must be able to work a flexible schedule and/or over time if needed.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be TABC certified.
Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers as needed.
Must have an outgoing personality.
Should have an eye for detail.
Must possess honesty and integrity.
Must be always courteous and tactful.
Must be innovative and look for areas that need improvement.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel.
Must be able to reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, to perform job.
Must have good or corrected vision
Must be able to clearly hear, understand and communicate verbally and in writing in English with members, guests, and co-workers.
Must be able to push or lift, up to 30lbs.
Independent mobility throughout the Clubhouse and surrounding areas.
