<p><strong>Job Description: Locker Room Manager</strong></p> <p>Club: Barrington Golf Club</p> <p>Location: Aurora, Ohio</p> <p>Classification: Hourly</p> <p>Reports to: Head Golf Professional</p> <p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p> <p>Barrington Golf Club is seeking a professional, service-oriented <strong>Locker Room Manager</strong> to oversee the Men’s locker room facilities. As a Jack Nicklaus Signature facility, our members expect a "Platinum Standard" of service. The Locker Room Manager serves as a concierge, hospitality lead, ensuring the locker room remains a premier sanctuary for our members and their guests.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ol> <li><strong> Member Service &amp; Hospitality</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Provide a warm, personalized greeting to all members and guests, utilizing names and anticipating individual preferences.</li> <li>Act as a club concierge, providing information on daily club events, tournament schedules, and course conditions.</li> <li>Oversee the "Shoe Service" program, including cleaning, polishing, and spike replacement for golf and street shoes.</li> <li>Manage the locker room lounge, ensuring refreshments, snacks, and beverage services are stocked and presented according to club standards.</li> </ul> <ol> <li><strong> Facilities &amp; Operations</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Maintain a pristine environment in all locker room areas, including vanities, showers, steam rooms, and lounge areas.</li> <li>Manage the assignment of permanent lockers for members and the preparation of guest lockers.</li> <li>Conduct regular inventory of towels, high-end toiletries, and supplies; place orders to ensure seamless operation.</li> <li>Coordinate with the maintenance and housekeeping departments to ensure all equipment is in perfect working order.</li> </ul> <ol> <li><strong> Leadership &amp; Administration</strong></li> </ol> <ul> <li>Supervise, train, and schedule locker room attendants to ensure consistent service levels.</li> <li>Maintain a detailed log of member requests and feedback to continuously improve the department.</li> <li>Manage, maintain, and purchase locker room supplies.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum of 2–3 years in high-end hospitality, private club service, or luxury resort management.</li> <li><strong>Knowledge:</strong> Familiarity with golf culture and etiquette is highly preferred.</li> <li><strong>Interpersonal Skills:</strong> Exceptional communication skills and the ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.</li> <li><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong> Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs (e.g., laundry bags or beverage crates).</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Core Competencies</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Attention to Detail:</strong> A "critical eye" for cleanliness and organization.</li> <li><strong>Proactive Nature:</strong> The ability to solve problems before a member notices them.</li> <li><strong>Professionalism:</strong> Maintaining a polished appearance and calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits &amp; Compensation</strong></p> <ul> <li>$20 per hour</li> <li>Complimentary Meals while on duty</li> <li>Staff uniform</li> <li>Monday outing bonus</li> <li>Holiday Bonus</li> </ul>
