Spanish Wells Golf & Country Club, located in Bonita Springs, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Golf Course Equipment Operator! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing togrow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Responsibilities:Operates motorized vehiclesMaintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facilityMows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areasWaters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional waterRepairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as neededGrades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairwaysTrims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower bedsApplies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf coursePerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor or managerQualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Golf course maintenance experience preferred, but not requiredMust possess the ability design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf courseWorking knowledge of the tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscaped area construction and maintenance workMust possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operationsAbility to give oral and written instructionsSkilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovationMust be dependableBenefits & Other Compensation:This position includes eligibility for the following benefits, subject to applicable plan terms:Healthcare Benefits – Medical (if determined by the ACA measurement)Retirement Benefits – 401(k) with employer match (19 years of age and older)Eligibility for benefits and the specific terms, conditions, and offerings are governed by the applicable plan of documents and company policies, which may be amended at the Company’s discretion.
