A variable employee is an at-will employee who works in a seasonal or temporary capacity. Their work schedule is based on business need. This position would be a part-time non benefitted position.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities)Acts as lead worker and supervisor on special projects.Ability to train and supervise variable maintenance employees in normal golf course operations, as well as the safe, proper operation of specialized golf course maintenance equipment.Responsible for the care and condition of the golf course.Functions include: mowing turf, restroom cleaning, facility repair, painting, minor construction, trash pick-up, sign installation and participating in short term projects.Maintains golf equipment and facilities (including clubhouse and restroom on the course) and features, ensuring safety and cleanliness.Maintains cart paths to keep in safe and useable condition.Operates City-owned equipment and hand tools.Participates in snow removal from parking lots, sidewalks and bike paths in the shoulder season.May be specifically assigned to an area of responsibility (mowing, trimming, trash removal, fairway, greens. etc.).Must
