Responsible for achieving or exceeding sales goals pertaining to membership and corporate Golf events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Tournament Director:
The Tournament Director is a member of the Management Team, and the Greens committee.Ensure that our Tournament Convenors and their participants are afforded the highest levels of customer service from all of the various departments.The Tournament Director will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the Tournament Schedule, following the booking guidelines as set forth in the Tournament Guidelines Manual, he/she will make every effort to maximize Tee Sheet usage at all times. Any deviation from said guidelines must be approved by the Director of OperationsEnsure that contract packages including all pertinent documentation, set out in the Tournament Guidelines Manual, are forwarded to the Tournament Convenor within 30 days of verbal commitment.Consult with the Director of Food & Beverage and the Head Chef regarding any deviations from our standard menu offerings, on course samplings of food or beverages, any outside products being brought onto Cardinal Property and any special room requirements. The Director of Food & Beverage must give final approval regarding all of the above issues with the exception of special menu offerings which will be the decision of the Head Chef.Responsible for confirming the final menu selection, number of players and meals, starting times for golf and dinner and all golf related activities such as contest holes, scoring etc. The Tournament Coordinator will follow the guidelines for deadlines as set forth in the Tournament guidelines Manual.Attend weekly Function Sheet meetings, F&B Committee meetings, Greens Committee meetings and Management meetings as well as any other meetings that might be required.The Tournament Director and or his/her representative will meet the Tournament Convenor upon their arrival.Ensure the Tournament Coordinator provides the Pro Shop with an accurate Event Summary Sheet with all event details.Responsible to ensure the Tournament Coordinator and Golf Services Staff Carry out & execute the event according to arranged detailsAct as a liaison between the event convenor and Tournament Coordinator on the day of the event.Introduce the Event Convenor to the Food and Beverage Supervisor before leaving at the end of the day.Responsible for the accurate invoicing of golf tournaments, invoicing will be completed within 24 hours of final departmental posting of charges.Follow up with Convenors when invoices are past due and continue to monitor the situation until paid.Responsible for collecting all A/R and event payments within 30 days of the event.Responsible for maintaining accurate reports regarding tournaments.Responsible for the organization of all Internal Golf Tournaments. This includes the Fall Scramble and Spring Scramble.Membership Coordinator Responsibilities:
Responsible for selling, growing, and maintaining the membership of club members.Handling all questions, information requests, and complaints regarding membership.Processing membership applications, dues, renewals and resignations.Maintaining and updating membership records.Assisting with member communication activities.Collecting data, tracking membership statistics, and preparing reports.Developing and implementing strategies to recruit new members.Coordinating with the accounting department to track membership revenue and past due accountsPreparing membership marketing materials with the Marketing ManagerOrganizing events and activities for existing and prospective members.Coordinates the marketing and membership relations programs to promote the club’s services and facilities to potential and present members.Creating complete profiles of each member in golf softwareOther Responsibilities:
Tee sheet management including tee sheet templates, price level templates, time zones.Assist with planning and executing of promotions, sales, retail merchandisingAssist with Food and beverage within Lightspeed POS, including creation of restaurants, facilities, sites, menu itemsAssist finance team with POS issues and resolving those issuesAssist Marketing with online content, promotions, signage, registration linksEDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
5 years’ experience in membership sales and golf events.Sales and operational experience a must.QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Excellent communication skillsPositive, enthusiastic and out-going mannerStrong understanding of food and beverage operationsProblem solving skillsClean, neat, and well-groomed appearanceDependable and conscientious work habitsAttention to detailPleasant work ethic with the emphasis on the overall enjoyment of the guestStrong communication and inter departmental skillsWORKING CONDITIONS:
Work hours will depend on department and event needs, but will include days, evenings, and weekends. Vacation time to be assigned based on years of service.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
