About the Role
Description
The Entry Level Assistant Golf Professional (ELGP) will be responsible for ensuring and enhancing first class customer service at all times to our Members and their guests. The ELGP will support day-to-day operations including tee time reservations, golf shop, golf clinics, Member tournaments, outside operations, and programs.
Essential Functions:
Supports the day-to-day operations including tee time reservations, golf shop, outside operations, and programs.Assists the professional golf team with member communications, member billings, and the planning and executing of golf programs and services for our Members, Guests, Ladies, and Juniors.May assist the Head Golf Professional in personnel management responsibilities. Control overall inventory for the CCC US Kids Rental Program.Manages our CCC Senior Interclub and our CCC Plus 4 games.Keep our lost and found areas clean and organized.Responsible for engraving the men's and women's tournament trophies from the previous year.Assists in the development of new and innovative programming for our Members and their guests in the form of tournaments, outings, lessons, and clinics as well as assisting with their entire golf experience from gear to golf carts. Models' exceptional sportsmanship while providing warm, personal, and professional service. The ELGP will represent Charlotte Country Club's mission and team member values.Assist in ladies' clinics, junior golf clinics, and camps.Provide personalized, one-on-one instruction to members.The ELGP will play golf with a variety of members in competitive and non-competitive situations.The ELGP will continue to excel and improve upon his/her golf game by competing in PGA Section events and working on their golf game.Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ELGP must possess strong communication skills, both written and oral.Excellent teamwork and understanding of hospitality and personal service.A team spirit and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
Physically, the AGP must be able to perform the job including playing golf.This position requires the ability to climb stairs, and the ability to lift 35 lbs or more.Sitting, standing and walking frequently.Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions of all seasons.
Education/Experience:
PGA certification or active participation in the PGA program preferred.Must have a solid golf background understanding what private club experience is about.Must be actively pursuing PGA membership and in good standing with the PGA of America.Currently enrolled in PGA level 1 preferred.A college degree in a related field is preferred.
