Conway Farms Golf Club Job Title: Member Services Department: Golf Operations Reports To: Director of Golf / Assistant Golf Professional / Outside Service Manager FLSA Classification: Hourly Employment Status: Seasonal Part-Time Work Location: On-Site, Lake Forest, IL Position Summary The Member Services Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional member and guest golf experience from arrival through departure. This role serves as a primary point of contact for members and guests, ensuring all aspects of outside golf service are executed with professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail. Member Services Associates support daily golf operations by greeting members and guests, preparing carts and practice facilities for play, handling golf bags, monitoring range needs, chauffeuring guests to locker rooms, and responding to special member requests. This position plays a vital role in upholding Conway Farms’ reputation for hospitality and personalized service within a premier private club environment. Essential Functions – Member Services Member & Guest Experience <ul> <li>Greet members and guests promptly upon arrival with a welcoming, professional demeanor.</li> <li>Anticipate and respond to member and guest needs to deliver a personalized and seamless experience.</li> <li>Provide clear communication and assistance while maintaining Conway Farms’ service standards.</li> <li>Address member requests and concerns promptly, escalating issues to leadership when appropriate.</li> </ul> Bag Handling & Guest Preparation <ul> <li>Prepare golf bags for play, including staging, cleaning, and organizing equipment.</li> <li>Create and attach guest bag tags and ensure accurate identification of all bags.</li> <li>Load and unload golf bags safely and efficiently.</li> <li>Ensure members’ and guests’ equipment is handled with care at all times.</li> </ul> Cart Operations <ul> <li>Clean, stage, and prepare golf carts prior to play, ensuring they meet Club standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation.</li> <li>Stock carts with necessary amenities and supplies.</li> <li>Manage cart flow before, during, and after play.</li> <li>Maintain cart staging areas in an orderly and professional manner.</li> </ul> Practice Facility Preparation <ul> <li>Set up and maintain practice facilities daily, including driving range, short game areas, and putting greens.</li> <li>Pick, wash, and restock golf balls as needed throughout the day.</li> <li>Ensure practice areas are clean, organized, and ready for member use at all times.</li> </ul> Guest Services <ul> <li>Chauffeur members and guests to and from designated areas, including guest locker rooms, practice facilities, and first tee.</li> <li>Assist guests unfamiliar with the Club layout and amenities.</li> </ul> Daily Operations Support <ul> <li>Assist with opening and closing procedures for outside golf operations.</li> <li>Support tournaments, outings, leagues, and special events as assigned.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with golf professionals, outside services leadership, and fellow team members to ensure smooth daily operations.</li> </ul> Professional Standards <ul> <li>Maintain a polished professional appearance and adhere to Conway Farms’ uniform and grooming standards.</li> <li>Uphold all Club policies, safety procedures, and service expectations.</li> <li>Serve as an ambassador of Conway Farms’ hospitality culture.</li> </ul> Physical & Mental Demands (Job-Related Only) Physical Demands <ul> <li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the golf course, practice facilities, bag room, and clubhouse.</li> <li>Regularly lift, carry, and maneuver golf bags and equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.</li> <li>Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and manual dexterity required for bag handling, cart cleaning, and facility setup.</li> <li>Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, and rain.</li> <li>Visual acuity and coordination sufficient to safely operate carts and monitor guest activity.</li> </ul> Mental & Professional Demands <ul> <li>Strong situational awareness in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor.</li> <li>Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.</li> <li>Emotional intelligence and professionalism when interacting with members, guests, and staff.</li> <li>Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on golf operations and events.</li> </ul> Compensation & Benefits Conway Farms Golf Club offers a competitive compensation package for Member Services Associates.
