Position Overview
The Golf Course Marshall plays a key role in upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service for our members and guests on the course. In this position, you will be responsible for enforcing club rules, promoting golf etiquette, and creating a positive atmosphere for all players while ensuring a smooth pace of play.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide assistance to members and guests by sharing advice on golf etiquette, helping with lost balls, and offering rides as needed.Inform members and guests about club services, events, and golf shop promotions.Maintain a visible presence on the course while coordinating with starters and golf operations staff to report any issues.Enforce club rules professionally to ensure a seamless experience for all players.Address rule violations courteously, maintaining a positive demeanor.Perform course maintenance tasks, including repairing ball marks, filling divots, and keeping the area free of debris.Collaborate effectively with other staff members, including outside services and cart attendants, to deliver exceptional service.Ensure that all daily tasks are completed to club standards, including cleanliness and supply management.Additional Duties
Adapt to the dynamic nature of the club by assisting colleagues and taking on extra tasks as assigned by management.Follow all company policies and procedures diligently.Exhibit professionalism and commitment to excellence in interactions with all members and staff.Adhere to safety guidelines and promote safe work practices.Be proactive in personal and professional development, ensuring any necessary certifications are up to date.Work with regional and corporate teams to address challenges efficiently.Participate in daily briefings and engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team's success.Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role or comprehensive knowledge of golf.Able to walk long distances and lift heavy bags (up to 75 lbs.) as needed.Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with members, guests, and colleagues.Thorough understanding of golf etiquette, rules, and best practices.A positive attitude and a dedication to outstanding service.High attention to detail and reliability.Physical Requirements
Work primarily outdoors in various temperature conditions, including extreme heat or cold.Ability to engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 100 lbs.Tools and Equipment Used
