Golf Course Maintenance Operator - Summer 2026

About the position

The Golf Course Maintenance Operator reports to the Director of Golf Course and Grounds/ Assistant Superintendents while performing various golf course maintenance tasks. The Equipment Operator will be directly involved in a variety of maintenance assignments associated with the care of golf course greens, tees, fairways, and other golf course features and areas.

Maintenance operations will be performed utilizing a vast assortment of specialized equipment, machinery, utility vehicles, and hand tools. Housing is available upon request with rent and deposit required. The summer season runs from April 15th, 2026, to October 31st, 2026.

Responsibilities

Operate various types of mowing equipment on the golf course in the maintenance of turfgrass areas, including self-propelled walk mowers, trimmers, utility vehicles, lightweight mowing equipment, and other specialty machinery.Perform other labor tasks with various hand tools and specialized golf course power equipment.Be involved with several types of construction-related projects throughout the golf course.Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment daily, ensuring proper cleaning and care procedures.Report equipment problems to the Equipment Manager.Participate in cleaning maintenance areas and operate within safety training procedures.Requirements

Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions and environments.Knowledge of safe and efficient mechanical operation of equipment and motorized vehicles.Ability to follow written and oral directions.Previous experience working in the maintenance of a golf course, grounds, or similar outdoor areas.Desire to work in a positive, upbeat environment while supporting colleagues.Great attention to detail.Hard-working, eager, flexible, and enthusiastic.Benefits
