About the Role
Overview
Medford Village Country Club, a private country club located in Medford New Jersey, is seeking a dynamic and organized Membership and Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the club’s website, overseeing the event calendar, managing member waitlists, onboarding new members, maintaining a strong social media presence, and developing promotional materials for events. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for providing outstanding member experience, and a strong background in marketing and club operations.
Key Responsibilities: (Percentage Time Spent Monthly)
Conduct Prospective Member Tours:
Tour prospective member(s) around club and show club features, introduce to key staff and answer questions regarding facility. (5%)
Member Waitlist Management:
Monitor and manage the member waitlist, ensuring timely communication and providing a smooth transition for new members as spaces become available. (5%)
New Member Onboarding:
Manage the onboarding process for new members, providing them with all necessary information and resources to integrate smoothly into the club community. (10%)
Social Media Management:
Develop, implement, and manage the club’s social media strategy across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Create engaging posts and content to keep members informed and promote club activities. (20%)
Engage with the club community and respond to inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner. (10%)
Event Calendar Management:
Coordinate and maintain the club’s event calendar, ensuring members are informed of upcoming events. Work closely with the General Manager, Head Golf Professional and Food & Beverage Director to promote and support events. (5%)
Website Management:
Oversee and update the club’s website, ensuring that all content is current, relevant, and aligned with the club's branding and communication standards. (5%)
Newsletter Development and Email Communication:
Develop monthly newsletter and periodic emails to membership. (10%)
Event Promotion & Marketing Materials:
Design eye-catching posters and marketing materials for club events using Canva. Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all promotional materials. (10%)
Collaborative Communication:
Work closely with the club’s leadership, membership, and event teams to communicate effectively with members and promote events. (10%)
Special Projects/Events:
Participate in special projects and events throughout the year (updating marketing Books, On Hold Phone Messages, Club Events (Breakfast w/Santa, Easter Brunch, Member Golf Events) (10%)
Qualifications:
Proven experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role, preferably in a private country club or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Proficiency in Canva for design and content creation.
Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is a plus.
Experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Use of iMovie preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
A positive attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to club members.
A strong sense of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with club members and sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Communication, Marketing or related field
1-3 year experience in Communications, Event Promotion and/or Marketing preferred
Previous experience in private country clubs or similar membership-based organizations.
Background in event coordination and promotion.
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience
Commission on Membership Event Sales (paid quarterly)
