Position Title: Clubhouse Staff
About the Company:
Our golf course has a rich history dating back to its opening in 1951. Considered a hidden gem of San Francisco, Golden Gate Park Golf Development Foundation manages the 9-hole, par 3 course. GGPGDF aims to provide a welcoming golf environment to all golfers as well as encouraging youth golfers to play who would otherwise not have access to this game.
Position Summary:
The Clubhouse Staff works directly with the General Manager in providing a high quality and exceptional customer service to all our guests. The Clubhouse Staff is the most influential in ensuring that players and guests have an enjoyable experience.
Qualifications:
High School education or equivalent education
Previous customer service experience required
Basic knowledge of general business practices, retail sales practices and procedures
Essential Duties
Greet and welcome Golfers and Guests in a professional and courteous manner
Communicate clearly and professionally with Golfers and Guests
Answer questions and provide assistance and information to Golfers and Guests
Answer phone calls to schedule future tee times and communicate information in a pleasant and professional manner
Accurately record time and date of reservation in the online reservation system
Make corrections and update online reservation system as appropriate when reservations have been filled or canceled
Advises Golfers and Guests of any abnormal golf course conditions (overseeding, aerification, etc.)
Accurately open, operate and close the point of sale (POS) system
Handle and count cash, make accurate change, record credit cards, and gift certificates described by standard operating procedures
Collect green fees and other incomes
Assist with physical inventories as required
Assist with the daily cleaning of the pro shop to ensure continued cleanliness and appearance of the Pro Shop, storage areas, and merchandise displays
Ensure that displays are kept at par stock inventory levels at all times and that the appearance meets or exceeds GGPGDF standards
Professionally communicate information, sell merchandise, and become fully knowledgeable in all product and sale techniques
Assist with all closing procedures for the Pro Shop
Special projects or other duties as assigned
Responsibility, Work Environment and Physical Demands
No supervisory responsibilities
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear
Occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds or heavier objects
Occasionally work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity

Maintains professional and welcoming attitude towards co-workers, Guests and Golfers
