About the Role
Job Overview The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager assists with the daily operations of Shoal Creek Golf Club’s dining outlets, including the main dining room, bar, lounge, and turn operations. This position focuses heavily on member experience, staff leadership, service execution, scheduling, and operational consistency. The role provides hands-on management experience within a premier private club environment and offers the opportunity to be part of the Club’s ongoing clubhouse and golf course restoration project.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the Club’s dining room, bar, lounge, and turn food service operations
Ensure exceptional member service while maintaining high hospitality standards
Lead, train, schedule, and develop front-of-house staff and supervisors
Maintain service quality, dining room presentation, and operational readiness
Adjust staffing levels based on business volume, events, weather, and seasonal demands
Coordinate reservations, seating flow, and daily service execution
Assist with club events, brunches, dinners, and special dining functions
Support inventory management of dining and bar operating supplies
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance standards throughout all outlets
Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned shifts and peak service periods
Address member concerns and resolve service issues in real time
Assist with payroll review, reporting, and other administrative responsibilities
Collaborate with club leadership to enhance member dining experiences and operational efficiency
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the private club industry
Ability to lead and motivate staff in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require
Previous restaurant, club, hotel, or hospitality leadership experience preferred, but not required
Interest in pursuing a long-term career in club management strongly preferred
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred
Recent graduates and graduating seniors are encouraged to apply
CMAA involvement or interest in club management is a plus
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
