About the Role
Overview The Bridal Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional, personalized service to the bride, groom, and wedding party throughout the wedding day. This position serves as a dedicated point of contact for the couple, helping ensure that their day runs smoothly, their needs are met, and they have a positive and memorable experience at the Manor House.
The ideal candidate is friendly, attentive, organized, professional, and able to remain calm and flexible in a fast-paced wedding environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Pre-Wedding & Setup
Meet with the bride and wedding party upon arrival and assist with settling into the bridal suite.
Ensure the bridal suite is clean, organized, and properly stocked prior to the wedding party's arrival.
Assist with personal items, wedding accessories, beverages, snacks, and other requests as needed.
Review the wedding-day timeline and important details with the Banquet Manager.
Communicate any special requests or concerns from the couple to the Banquet Manager.
Assist with organizing personal belongings and ensuring important items remain secure and accounted for.
Wedding Day Service
Provide attentive, courteous, and personalized service to the bride and groom throughout the event.
Keep the couple informed of important timing and upcoming activities, including photographs, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, speeches, and special dances.
Assist the bride and wedding party with transitions between the bridal suite, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
Provide water, beverages, snacks, and other refreshments as requested.
Assist with minor wardrobe needs such as carrying personal items, arranging a train, veil, or bustle, when appropriate.
Help the bride and wedding party with personal belongings throughout the event.
Monitor the bridal suite and keep it neat and organized throughout the wedding.
Anticipate the couple's needs whenever possible and provide proactive service.
Assist with coordinating special requests, surprises, or wedding-day details.
Maintain communication with the Banquet Manager and other event staff throughout the wedding.
Reception
Check in with the bride and groom periodically throughout the reception.
Ensure the couple has an opportunity to enjoy their meals and receive appropriate beverages.
Assist with transportation of personal items when the couple moves between locations.
Help ensure the couple is prepared for scheduled reception events and activities.
Provide assistance with end-of-night personal belongings and gifts.
Help gather and organize the couple's personal items at the conclusion of the event.
Guest Service Expectations
Maintain a warm, professional, and positive attitude at all times.
Provide discreet and attentive service without interfering with the couple's experience.
Use excellent judgment when handling sensitive or unexpected situations.
Address guest concerns professionally and immediately communicate significant issues to the Banquet Manager.
Maintain confidentiality regarding the couple, wedding party, guests, and private event details.
Represent the Manor House in a professional manner at all times.
Qualifications
Previous hospitality, wedding, catering, banquet, or customer service experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to anticipate needs and pay attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as wedding schedules require.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry light to moderate items.
Ability to move throughout the event space, bridal suites, ceremony areas, and other venue locations.
Ability to assist with wedding-day items and personal belongings as needed.
Reporting Structure The Bridal Attendant reports directly to the Banquet Manager or designated Event Manager during each wedding.
Position Goal The goal of the Bridal Attendant is to make the wedding day as seamless and stress-free as possible for the couple by providing attentive service, anticipating their needs, and ensuring they always have a dedicated member of the Manor House team available to assist them.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
