Golf Shop Merchandiser
Summary: The Golf Shop Merchandiser supports Golf Operations leadership in the day‑to‑day management of the golf shop. This role is responsible for merchandise ordering, receiving, and presentation; The position also assists with monitoring and coordinating daily play in partnership with the starter team.
Support the planning and direction of soft goods retail operations, including meeting with sales representatives and placing merchandise orders
Design and execute visually appealing merchandise displays to enhance the retail environment and drive sales
Receive, inspect, tag, and prepare merchandise for display; ensure packing slips align with purchase orders
Assist with periodic physical inventory counts and inventory management processes
Provide exceptional customer service on the retail floor and over the phone
Support Golf Operations with daily activities including player check‑in, tee‑time management, lesson bookings, and opening/closing procedures
Assist with leagues and tournaments, including sourcing and purchasing prizes for events
Adhere to all club policies, procedures, and standards
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects positively on Bear Lakes Country Club
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Golf Operations
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred with 1‑3 years of related experience; or 5+ years of relevant experience in golf, retail, or merchandising environments.
Outside Golf Operations Supervisor
Oversee daily outside golf operations, ensuring that our hospitality services meet the highest standards of guest satisfaction. You will play a crucial role in managing staff, coordinating events, and enhancing the overall guest experience at our facility. Develop and implement various training programs for the outside service staff to ensure they are well‑trained, achieving Service Excellence, and enhancing Member/Guest satisfaction and retention.
Assist in leading the Outside Golf Operations Employees, including training, supervision, and daily leadership.
Help golfers by loading bags, cleaning clubs, and preparing them for play, ensuring all their needs are met and questions answered. Clean and maintain the staging area, storage area, and golf cart fleet.
Assist golfers after their round by cleaning clubs, delivering them to their cars as needed, and checking in the golf carts.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the club storage, cart, and equipment areas.
Coordinate services with other golf operations staff, such as range attendants, cart attendants, marshals/starters, to ensure seamless and efficient service to Members/Guests. Serve as a role model to all employees by demonstrating the expected behavior and work ethic.
Perform other duties as assigned or required by the Outside Golf Operations Manager.
or bachelor’s degree (B.A.) plus two to four years related experience and/or training.
Golf Operations Attendant (Full Time)
Provides complete services for members and their guests relating to handling of bags, golf carts and driving range operations.
Prepares all golf carts for the day’s play and ensures carts are clean and stocked.
Maintains cart storage building and surrounding areas in a neat, organized manner.
Washes clubs upon completion of play and puts them in the proper place.
Assists in all special events of the Golf Department.
Requires some knowledge of the game of golf.
Previous country club experience preferred.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; and one to three months related experience and/or training.
Ensure members and guest golfers receive exceptional service with all their golfing needs, including but not limited to merchandise, tournaments, check‑in, club‑fitting, instruction, cart & club rental and other day‑to‑day operations. Assist with the coordination of leagues, major tournaments, clinics, golf schools, and other golf events. Work with the Director of Golf executing the ladies golf programming in both event and instructional settings.
Assist the Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf Operations and First Assistant Golf Professional in maintaining tee times advanced bookings, committee meetings, Member/Guests and other programs and events and teaching individual, junior, and group lessons. Collaborate with Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional to organize and run golf leagues including the Ladies nine and eighteen‑hole leagues and as well as other seasonal ladies event. Assist in the set up and run club tournaments for the entire golf membership.
Manage staff responsibilities including and updating daily checklists, updating software, scheduling, payroll and conducting meetings.
Investigate and resolve complaints of membership.
Responsible for both golf courses and practice facility direct supervision of the following: Making sure hazards are painted and staked properly, Out of Bounds are staked properly, maintaining any ground under repair, maintaining tee times and pace of play in coordination with starter on a daily‑basis and in coordination with Outside Operations Manager, Head Golf Professional, and Director of Golf develop schedule for Practice Tee rotation to best utilize turf conditions.
High golf knowledge of the game, etiquette, handicapping, rules, tournaments, and teaching are preferred for this position.
or bachelor’s degree from four‑year college or university; and one to two years (including internships) related experience and/or training; Requires strong knowledge of USGA & PGA programs and eligibility to participate in the PGA Golf Professional Training Program.
Food and Beverage - Busser (Part‑time‑Seasonal)
Attends to the needs of members and guests, serves patrons by setting tables, placing and replacing silverware, keeping beverage glasses full, adhering to sanitation and safety policies, and clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and the environment.
Prepare the dining room for patrons by cleaning and setting up tables with decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
Maintain table settings by removing courses as they are completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
Support wait staff by setting up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers, and bus stations.
Close dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
Check tables frequently to determine if diners have any needs or requests, including drink refills, additional bread and butter, desserts, coffee, etc.
Assist other Servers and Busser to ensure that all diners have an excellent dining experience.
Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Previous club experience preferred.
Verbally communicate well in English and in writing.
Understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent; ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; experience in hospitality preferred.
This position performs a variety of golf course maintenance duties independently under indirect supervision.
Operate all hand‑held landscape equipment in various golf course maintenance procedures.
Hand and mechanical rakes bunkers to Bear Lakes Country Club golf course standards.
Sod installation.
Operate and maintain equipment, power tools, and hand tools to keep the golf course.
Verti‑cut, aerate, and top‑dress tees, greens, fairways, and other turf areas—lay sod as required.
Water golf course grounds and maintain irrigation systems on golf courses.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Must be proficient in all areas of golf course equipment maintenance.
Must be able to operate all equipment.
Ability to verbally communicate well in English and in writing.
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and 1‑2 years of golf course maintenance experience.
Dishwasher
Maintain kitchen work areas, restaurant equipment, utensils, dishes, and glassware in clean and orderly condition.
Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine.
Washes dishes, silverware, glassware, kitchen equipment, and other related items (tables, floors, ovens, and dishwashers), pots, pans, and trays.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training; Cooks and seasons soups, meats, vegetables, and other food for members and guests in the Club restaurants.
Read the menu to estimate food requirements and procure food from storage.
Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
Add seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking.
Observe and test foods by tasting, smelling, and piercing with a fork to determine if they are cooked.
Carve meats, portion food on serving plates, add gravies and sauces, and garnish servings to fill orders.Prepare food to members' satisfaction as perfectly as quickly as possible.
Set up the work station to ensure freshness and quality.
Assist in other kitchen duties as necessary for the success of the operation.
