Starter and Player Assistant

We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Role Type: Seasonal (Role will last 6 months or less). Pay: $12.77 - $13.00 per hour Overview Plays a key role in delivering an outstanding golf experience by ensuring smooth daily operations on the first tee and around the course. This is a seasonal position with an expected duration of six months or less. Key Responsibilities Starts players on the first tee, explaining the rules of play for the dayMaintains an accurate starting sheet so the whereabouts of players are knownCues groups to move to the first tee and makes sure no more than one group is on the tee at one timeTours the golf course, assisting players when needed to maintain the posted pace of play for the dayChecks the restrooms and water stations on a regular scheduleMaintains proper spacing on the golf course to avoid delaysCompletes the golfer tracking report dailyReminds players of the cart rules of the dayRepairs ball marks and collects any trash on the course; replaces any hazard stakes or directional signageCommunicates with the Golf Shop and Starter regularlyMonitors the course and ensures customer satisfaction; assists golfers when neededReports all problem situations to the Head Professional in a timely mannerIncorporates safe work practices in job performancePerforms other duties as required Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Other Qualifications Regular and reliable attendance Schedule: early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits & Other Compensation: This position includes eligibility for the following benefits, subject to applicable plan terms: Healthcare Benefits – Medical (if determined by the ACA measurement)Retirement Benefits – 401(k) with employer match (19 years of age and older) Eligibility for benefits and the specific terms, conditions, and offerings are governed by the applicable plan of documents and company policies, which may be amended at the Company’s discretion.
