THE OPPORTUNITY As a Seasonal PGA PGM Intern, you will gain practical experience across the full spectrum of golf operations, with opportunities to develop skills in: Outside Golf Operations Driving Range Operations Member & Guest Services Tee Sheet Management Tournament Operations Club Operations Cart Fleet Management Retail Operations Junior Golf Instruction Interns will work closely with members of the PGA professional staff and managers throughout the Golf Department, gaining an understanding of how the various departments work together to deliver an exceptional member and guest experience. WHAT YOU COULD EXPERIENCE Outside Operations Experience the front-line member and guest experience that defines a successful private club. Interact with members and guests from around the world Work alongside the Outside Operations Manager Assist with opening and closing procedures for the practice facility, bag room and cart barn Gain exposure to golf cart and outside-service operations Experience Medinah's Golf Learning Center Opportunity to shadow Club Fitters and Teaching Professionals Golf Shop & Inside Operations Gain hands‑on experience with the business side of a busy golf operation. Perform point-of-sale transactions for golf and merchandise using Jonas Software Assist with day-to-day retail operations and merchandise presentation Learn MembersFirst Tee Sheet Software Assist with accurately charging and tracking golf rounds across three golf courses Work in a high-volume golf operation generating approximately 55,000 annual rounds Work closely with the Caddie Manager to coordinate and service caddie requests Tournament Operations Learn what goes into successfully executing golf events from preparation through completion. Assist with tournament preparation from start to finish Become familiar with Golf Genius tournament software Develop an understanding of the USGA Rules of Golf Gain exposure to the USGA Handicap System Assist with tournament-day logistics and member communication PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT At Medinah, we believe an internship should prepare you for your next position, not simply help you complete a school requirement .
