About the role

Pro Shop Lead – Redhawk Golf Course (Temecula, CA)

Compensation: Starting at $20.00 per hour, with potential increases based on experience and performance Position Type: Part-time, with opportunity to grow into a full-time position

Overview Redhawk Golf Course is looking for an organized, tech-savvy and people-focused Pro Shop Lead to help run day-to-day golf shop operations and grow our tournament and group business. Designed by Ron Fream, Redhawk is an 18-hole public course in Temecula hosting roughly 50,000 rounds a year, open 361 days a year, with the Hawk’s Landing restaurant and an on-site event center.

The Pro Shop Lead works directly with the General Manager and leads the Pro Shop team on shift. You will own the guest experience at the counter, keep our systems running smoothly, and be the main point of contact for tournaments and group outings, from the first inquiry through event day.

What We’re Looking For

- Computer and POS skills: confident with POS and tee sheet systems (foreUP, Toast, Quick18, Golf365 or similar), plus email, spreadsheets and basic reporting. You pick up new software quickly.

- Tournament booking and sales: able to respond to inquiries, build quotes and packages, follow up with organizers, and close the booking.

- Tournament organization and setup: comfortable handling pairings, cart signs, scorecards, shotgun or tee-time starts, contests, scoring and day-of coordination with outside service, F&B and maintenance.

- Group bookings: manage group reservations, deposits, rosters and communication with group leaders.

- Leadership: set the standard for the Pro Shop team on your shift, delegate clearly, solve problems on the spot and keep the operation moving.

- Golf course experience preferred (pro shop, outside service, tournament or club operations).

- Dynamic pricing experience is a plus (Sagacity, revenue management or similar), but not required. We will train the right person.

- Strong customer service and clear verbal communication.

- Knowledge of golf rules and etiquette.

- Available weekends, holidays and early mornings.

- Valid driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead Pro Shop operations and staff on assigned shifts, including opening and closing procedures.

- Process green fees, merchandise and event payments accurately; reconcile daily transactions against the tee sheet.

- Serve as the primary contact for tournament and group inquiries; prepare proposals, confirm details and collect deposits.

- Plan, organize and set up tournaments and outings, and run them on event day.

- Coordinate with F&B and the event center on combined golf and dining packages.

- Monitor the tee sheet and support dynamic pricing decisions with the General Manager.

- Promote the Players Card program and Pro Shop merchandise.

- Help train new Pro Shop staff on systems and procedures.

- Keep the Pro Shop clean, organized and guest-ready.

- Support all areas of golf operations as needed.
