About the Role
Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in creating and maintaining a pristine, inviting environment for golfers and visitors alike! In this energetic position, you will be responsible for ensuring the golf course remains beautiful, safe, and well-kept by performing a variety of landscape maintenance tasks. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help deliver an exceptional experience on every visit. This position is expected to work early morning hours with afternoons off, up to six days per week. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop horticultural skills, and contribute to a premier recreational facility.
Duties
• Maintain fairways, greens, tees, and roughs using power tools (such as riding mowers, rollers, and brushes) and hand tools such as (push mowers, weed whips, and leaf blowers) to ensure optimal turf health and appearance
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to promote healthy grass growth
• Cut and replace cup positions on greens routinely using the technique taught to you upon hire
• Perform landscaping tasks including planting, trimming, pruning, and mulching to enhance course aesthetics
• Use hand tools and power tools safely for aeration, dethatching, and other turf management activities
• Assist with general gardening duties such as watering plants, removing weeds, and fertilizing landscapes
• Conduct routine inspections of the course grounds to identify areas needing repair or maintenance
• Support overall land management efforts by ensuring safety standards are met during all maintenance activities
• Other duties as assigned
Experience
• Prior experience in golf course maintenance, landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and landscape maintenance techniques is a plus
• Ability to operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools safely and effectively
• Knowledge of landscaping practices including planting, pruning, fertilizing, and soil care
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to course upkeep and environmental stewardship
