Wellen Park Golf & Country Club, located in North Port, FL , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Server ! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon , you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Responsibilities:
- Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous, and friendly service to all members, guests and employees.
- Performs opening duties and side work as assigned by manager.
- Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
- Answers questions and suggests menu items.
- Inputs orders into Point of Sales system and explains any special cooking instructions with accurate abbreviations of food items.
- Assembles food on trays.
- Serves meals according to service techniques.
- Checks back with members/guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Removes soiled dishes.
- Suggests and/or serves dessert, coffee, and/or after dinner drinks.
- Verifies accuracy of all checks before presenting to members/guests in a timely fashion.
- Keeps tables, dining areas, and server stations clean and tidy.
- Advises supervisor/manager of any complaints as soon as they occur.
- Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
- Studies all menu items and can explain dishes to members and guests upon request or if a special item is being prepared.
- Distributes menus and seats members/guests, if hostess is not on duty or is busy.
- Attends pre-shift line-up meetings before each service shift.
- Attends staff meetings as scheduled by department manager.

Education/Certificates/Licenses/Training:
- Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Must obtain any required local and state licenses or certifications.
Experience/Background/Knowledge:
- Prior Server experience preferred.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers and employees in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to perform basic math computations.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and taste or smell.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be willing to work in an outside tiki bar during Florida summers.
