The position requires a high level of attention to detail, physical labor, and a passion for maintaining a pristine playing surface for golfers.
Responsibilities
Mow and maintain golf course greens, tees, fairways, and roughs using specialized equipment such as greens mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, and trimmersMaintain bunkers, including raking and edging sand and repairing damaged areasInstall and repair irrigation systems as neededMonitor and adjust chemical applications for fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as directedAssist with course set-up for tournaments and events, including flag placement, tee marker placement, and course markingsMaintain equipment and tools used in daily tasksWork collaboratively with other greenskeepers and golf course staff to ensure the course is always ready for playFollow all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper handling and storage of chemicals and equipmentRequirements
High school diploma or equivalentPrior experience in golf course maintenance preferredKnowledge of golf course equipment and machineryAbility to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditionsExcellent attention to detail and ability to identify and repair problem areas on the courseKnowledge of safe chemical handling and application techniquesGood communication and teamwork skills
