About the Role
The mechanic reports directly to the Superintendent. The responsibility of the mechanic is to assist in maintaining the excellent playing conditions of Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club. The mechanic will perform all repairs on a variety of electric, gasoline and diesel-powered equipment.
The Mechanic is responsible for taking all measures available to prevent equipment failures and to report all issues to the Superintendent. The Mechanic places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and organized shop/work area. Previous golf course experience a plus but not necessary.
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
Must Work well with others
Communicates any needs or problems relating to maintenance or repair of equipment
Moderate exposure to oils, grease, diesel, gasoline, fumes, toxic and/or caustic chemicals, pesticides, mechanical and electrical hazards
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, lay, crouch, push, pull, stretch, bend, walk to perform job tasks correctly
Ability to withstand constant moderate noise levels associated with the shop environment
Assist with the repair and maintenance of all golf course maintenance equipment
Sharpen all reel and rotary mowers as needed
Must be highly motivated and a self-starter who can work efficiently
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
Must be able to work in a variety of work environments, including extreme cold, hot, wet, and dusty conditions
Performs other non-shop duties as requested by the Superintendent
Must be able to commute to Citrus County daily.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
