About the Role
Golf Course Maintenance TechnicianThe Golf Course Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, playability, and safety of the golf course. This role supports daily course setup and upkeep through turf care, equipment operation, and landscaping tasks while following safety and environmental guidelines.
Responsibilities include:
Mow greens, tees, fairways, rough, and other turf areas using specialized equipmentSet up and break down the course daily, including moving tee markers, setting hole locations, and placing signageOperate equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehiclesPerform routine bunker maintenance, including raking, edging, and sand repairApply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides under supervision and in accordance with safety regulationsRepair divots, ball marks, and worn turf areas to maintain course playability and appearanceTrim trees, shrubs, pull weeds and other landscape features to ensure proper growth and course aestheticsAssist with drainage projects, sod installation, seeding, and other course improvement tasksKeep maintenance facilities, equipment, and work areas clean and organizedFollow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environmentCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding daily tasks and course conditionsWork early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required to meet course maintenance needsQualifications include:
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, walking long distances, bending, and standing for extended periodsStrong work ethic with attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a teamReliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as requiredEducation and experience:
Must be 16+ or older.Previous golf course, landscaping, or grounds maintenance experience is a plus, but not requiredBasic knowledge of turfgrass care, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance preferredAbility to operate or learn to operate maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and utility vehiclesWork environment:
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or sit on the floor as needed during activities or tasks.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.Ability to reach, grasp, and handle small objects, tools, or equipment with precision.Ability to climb, crawl, or maneuver in tight spaces to complete maintenance or activity-related tasks.Work may take place in both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, snow, and humidity.Noise levels range from moderate to loud, often due to active children, group interactions, or busy transportation settings.This job announcement outlines the primary responsibilities, but there's always room to grow and shine as part of our team.
