Golf Maintenance Technician

Hilltop Lakes Property Owners Association (POA) Hilltop Lakes, Texas Position Summary The Golf Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining the golf course grounds to ensure optimal playing conditions and a high-quality experience for all golfers. This role involves performing routine landscaping, operating equipment, and assisting with course setup. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Course Maintenance & Landscaping Perform routine groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and debris removalMaintain greens, fairways, bunkers, and tee boxes to ensure excellent playing conditionsApply basic turf care techniques to support healthy grass growth and course appearanceEquipment Operation & Care Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy-duty equipment safely and effectivelyConduct basic maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipmentReport equipment malfunctions or repair needs promptlyCourse Setup Assist in daily golf course setup, including hole placement, tee markers, and flag placementPrepare the course before play to meet POA quality standardsGeneral Maintenance Monitor course conditions and identify areas needing attentionAssist with irrigation systems and minor repairs when neededFollow all safety procedures and organizational guidelinesQualifications Education & Experience Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or golf course maintenance preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent (preferred)Skills & Competencies Knowledge of lawn care and turf maintenance practicesAbility to operate landscaping equipment and tools safelyStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDependable, with a strong work ethic and proactive approachWork Environment & Physical Requirements Outdoor work in varying weather conditionsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 poundsEarly morning, weekend, and holiday work may be required to support course operations
