About the Role
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Seasonal Westwood Golf Course Pro Shop Workers. Under the direct supervision of the Westwood Golf Course Operations Manager this role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting patrons with purchases, conducting sales transactions, stocking merchandise, and performing light lifting duties. Additionally, the positions includes responsibilities in food service and bar operations, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all guests. Employees will work approximately 20-30 hours per week. Please note that hours may vary based on weather conditions and staffing needs. Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday as well as weekends. We are seeking self-motivated individuals who are open to drug/alcohol testing and are at least 18 years of age.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, answer inquiries about merchandise, tee times, and course policies.
Sales & Transactions: Process sales using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash and credit transactions accurately, and balance the register at the end of shifts.
Merchandise Management: Stock and organize pro shop merchandise, monitor inventory levels, and assist in restocking as needed.
Food & Beverage Service: Prepare and serve light food and beverages, including alcoholic drinks, while adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Bar Operations: Check IDs, serve drinks responsibly, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
General Maintenance: Keep the pro shop, food service area, and bar clean and well-maintained.
Light Lifting Duties: Move and arrange merchandise, restock supplies, and perform minor setup tasks as needed.
Tee Time Management: Assist with booking and checking in golfers for their rounds.
Qualifications:
Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of golf and golf-related products is a plus.
Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system accurately.
Experience in food service or bartending is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift and carry light to moderate loads (up to 25 lbs).
Must be at least 18 years old.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Human Relations:
Ability to deal with difficult people and provide positive customer service.
Working Conditions:
Up to 30 hours/week, hours may vary due to weather/workload. Must be available to work weekdays/weekends/evenings. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to operate a normal passenger vehicle (car or pick-up truck), possess a valid driver’s license, have an acceptable driving record, and subject to drug and alcohol testing.
