TITLE: GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE WORKER I

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Performs tasks pertaining to the care and maintenance of golf course greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and other areas related to the golf course.
REPORTS TO: Golf Course Maintenance Worker
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mows greens, tees, aprons and approaches with tri-plex or walk behind mowers
Performs various cultural practices including verticutting, aerification, rolling, and spiking at the direction of the superintendent
Mows fairways and roughs with applicable equipment
Change cups, move tees, remove trash and other tasks involved with daily setup of the golf course
Maintains gasoline, oil and other equipment fluids daily
Reports to the mechanic when a problem arises with equipment
SECONDARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Propagation of turfgrass by seed, sprig, plug or sod as necessary
Perform irrigation/drainage work
Operate weed eater/hover mowers
Operate front end loader and/or dump trucks
Make fertilizer/pesticide applications
Trim or remove dead trees
Performs other duties as assigned

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of the safe operation of motorized equipment
Knowledge of maintenance tools
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to follow oral communication
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions

MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Less than 1 year of job related experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
