Assistant Golf Professional (Teaching-Focused, Part-Time) Chardonnay Golf Club – Napa, CA Chardonnay Golf Club is seeking a motivated PGA Member or PGA Associate for a unique, teaching-focused Assistant Golf Professional role. This position is designed for a professional looking to grow their lesson book while maintaining involvement in daily golf operations. Position Overview: This hybrid role offers the opportunity to build and grow a teaching business while supporting golf operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about player development, enjoys working with a wide range of golfers, and is motivated to generate lesson revenue. Position Profile | The Assistant Golf Professional will report directly to the Director of Golf, and Head Golf Professional. Success in this role will be measured by growth in revenue, memberships, and in providing the highest quality service standards for our guests. Key Responsibilities: • Provide private golf instruction and group clinics • Assist with development of junior programs and player development initiatives • Support daily golf operations, including check-in, merchandising, and guest service • Assist with tournaments, outings, and on-course operations as needed Compensation & Structure: • Part-time position (approximately 20–30 hours per week) • Hourly rate for operations shifts ($16.90 -$19) • Competitive lesson revenue split (designed to support growth of your teaching business) • Access to an established facility with strong player traffic and opportunity for lesson growth Ideal Candidate: The Assistant Golf Professional must have excellent interpersonal skills, as he/she serves as the face of the golf operation. • PGA Member or PGA Associate (preferred) • Previous teaching experience or strong desire to build a lesson base • Strong communication and customer service skills • Flexible schedule, including weekends Qualifications: • 1 to 3 years’ experience in the golf or hospitality industry is required • 4 year college degree preferred, or demonstrable vocational qualification required Why Chardonnay Golf Club: • Opportunity to grow your own book of business • Supportive environment for teaching and player development • Consistent guest traffic and engaged golf community • Balance between operations and instruction Napa Valley, CA | "It's a great day to be in the Napa Valley" is a longtime phrase said by vintners, winemakers and golfers who enjoy golf unlike anywhere else, which is "golf among the vines."
