Golf Course Mechanic and Maintenance

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Mechanic and Maintenance Specialist, where you'll be the driving force behind the seamless operation and upkeep of our golf course equipment and grounds. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, troubleshoot complex systems, and ensure our course remains in pristine condition for players to enjoy. Your mechanical expertise will directly contribute to delivering an exceptional golfing experience while maintaining safety and efficiency across all maintenance operations. Duties Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on golf course machinery including mowers, utility vehicles, and power equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel and gas engine issues to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment such as engine repairs, small engine servicing, generator repairs, sharpening blades and reels and power generation systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and electrical diagnostics tools to complete repairs accurately and efficiently. Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service records, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist in the manual handling of heavy equipment parts or machinery during repair or replacement processes. Support groundskeeping operations by maintaining turf equipment through regular servicing and small engine maintenance. Experience Proven dealership experience or service technician background with a focus on automotive or heavy machinery repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical work, schematics interpretation, and equipment troubleshooting. Experience repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, power generation systems, and small engines is highly desirable. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery is a plus. Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic devices effectively. Prior experience in vehicle maintenance or heavy equipment repair within a dealership or service environment is preferred.
